Jiang Hao and his group stepped out and entered an office.
They all took their seats. The dean gave Jiang Hao a puzzled look, prompting Jiang Hao to glance at Lee Ya and speak up.

The dean's face turned a livid shade of gray. He wasn't known for his virtue, but Lee Ya's story incensed him nonetheless.

He too had accepted gifts, but never had he extorted a patient's family under the guise of withholding medication.
This was utterly reprehensible!
The dean turned to Jiang Hao, his expression troubled.
“Divine Doctor Jiang, I apologize for this unfortunate matter.

He paused, then appealed to Jiang Hao's sense of reason.

He trailed off, the implication clear. The evidence at hand wasn't sufficient to justify dismissal.
Jiang Hao's frown deepened. He was a man of reason; lacking adequate evidence, he couldn't compel the dean to act.
Yet, the thought of letting such a miscreant off lightly was something he found hard to stomach.
At that moment, Lee Ya, upon hearing the dean's resolution, felt a tinge of disappointment. However, when she compared it to her previous situation, it was like night and day—she was thoroughly content.
Gently tugging at the hem of Jiang Hao's clothing, Lee Ya spoke with a shy voice, “Thank you, Mr. Jiang! I'm truly satisfied with this outcome. Thank you!” With that, she bowed deeply to Jiang Hao.
Jiang Hao observed Lee Ya with a slight furrow in his brow but did not intervene. After accepting her bow, he reassured her, “Rest assured, now that I've accepted your bow today, I'm committed to ensuring you get the outcome you deserve.”
Turning to the dean, Jiang Hao continued, “Dean, I grasp your intent. So, you're saying that with ample evidence, you can rightfully dismiss this individual?” The dean, though somewhat perplexed, nodded in agreement.
With the dean's nod, Jiang Hao didn't hesitate, “Well then, this should be straightforward. Given this person's greed, I find it hard to believe they've kept a clean slate. Dean, please provide me with their file. I'll unearth additional evidence of their misconduct.” Jiang Hao's confidence was palpable as he spoke.
